How did you train to become a dancer?
I have always been addicted to dance and attended various dance schools as a child. I had my formal training at MGA Academy of Performing Arts and have qualifications in HND Musical Theatre, RAD Ballet and ISTD Tap and Modern. I specialised in Commercial, Jazz and musical theatre, as well as studying tap and ballet, all of which are perfect for teaching dance hen parties. I have worked with some amazing choreographers including Matt Flint & Wayne Sleep.
What dance teaching experience have you had?
I have been teaching dance for 7 years. As well as teaching Cheerleading Company hen parties, I also teach RAD ballet and ISTD tap and modern for examinations. My focus is on making dance fun for everyone and I teach all sorts of people from the age of 2 right up to the young at heart 87!! I even teach keep fit for over 50s and a chair keep fit for my golden oldies!!
What do you love about teaching hen parties?
I love meeting all the bride-to-be’s and their hens and being part of their special day! Also I love it when the parties dress up in costume for the theme! Everybody I have met at the parties is so lovely and we all have such a great time!! I’m so lucky to get paid to do something I love!!!
