What are your top 3 favourite Cheerleading Company hen parties in Bristol?
- 80’s because I am a massive MJ fan and I love doing the Thriller routine!
- Dirty Dancing because I love the look on the Hen’s face when she gets the Patrick Swayze lift!
- Cheerleading because it’s always fun to dance around with pom poms
What do you love about teaching hen parties in Bristol?
I’ve been so busy working for the Cheerleading Company this year!
I’ve been lucky enough to do teach loads of parties. Probably one of my best experiences was doing an 80’s party during the summer. They were quite a big group and every one of them got so into it! They put loads of effort into choreographing their own routine and were so inventive and fun! We even had the bride and her Mum busting some 80’s break dance by the end of the class!
What dance experience have you had?
I trained at a Musical Theatre College and have been teaching and dancing ever since! I’ve travelled all over the World dancing, including some great experiences working at a theme park in Italy, as a dancer at Disneyland Paris, in a circus style show in Brazil, and even dancing on set for Bollywood films! I grew up dancing Ballet and Modern mostly so people like Carlos Acosta, Darcey Bussell and Matthew Golding are an inspiration to me. Now, I love contemporary dance and watching companies like DV8 and Shobana Jeyasingh. Their shows are always so original and the dancers are so different from any other companies. Of course, I still love musical theatre and my favourite shows are Jersey Boys, Lion King and Wicked – you can’t beat them for a singalong!
