What are your top 3 favourite Cheerleading Company hen parties in London?
What do you love about teaching hen parties in London?
Teaching dance hen parties has to be the most fun, and most rewarding job I have ever had! Not only do I get to have such a laugh with the hens and spend my time dancing around, which I love, it is so rewarding to be a part of the bride's special day, to make memories for her, and make all the hens feel a sense of achievment whilst they have such a fun time in the dance session. My favourite moment of the hen party is when the bride gives me a hug and tells me what a wonderful time she has had in the dance class. The bride and hens are always so lovely and so grateful.
What dance experience have you had?
I started dance classes at four, learning Latin and Ballroom which are still my favourite styles of dance. At eight I enrolled in full time dance training at Bright Sparks Theatre School, studying all dance styles from ballet to hip hop. I then went on to do a BA (Hons) Degree at the London Studio Centre in theatre Dance. I love sharing my passion for dance with everyone! I have broad experience in teaching all ages and abilities from complete beginners in our dance hen party classes to professionals.
As well as teaching dance hen parties I am a head cheerleader for the famous Pineapple Cheerleaders! Pineapple Cheerleaders are based at London's Famous Pineapple Dance Studios and are run and managed by The Cheerleading Company. It’s such a fun, glamourous and exciting job. I have danced all over Europe with them, on TV and at national sporting events. I love to shake my pom poms! I have also performed with lots of celebs over the years including; Donny Osmond, Richard Attinborough, Joan Collins, Jim Davidson, Nadia Sawalha, Cheryl Baker and Stephen Fry. I have had so many wonderful experiences dancing but my proudest moment is still being judged National Juvenile Ballroom Champion by the one and only Len Goodman. Whoop whoop!
Who are your dance inspirations?
My favourite dancer of all time is the sensational Gene Kelly! I love my musicals and he is the ultimate leading man. I used to write essays about him at uni as it gave me an excuse to watch his films, all in the name of research, of course. My favourite modern day dancer is Brendon Cole I love to watch him on Strictly Come Dancing and in his touring show. So I love that we run a Strictly dance hen party! The way he moves his legs and hips is incredible, and let’s face it ladies, who doesn’t love a man who can dance?
