What are your top 3 favourite Cheerleading Company hen parties in Brighton?
What do you love about teaching hen parties in Brighton?
I love working for The Cheerleading Company, it is so amazing to be part of the Brides celebration with her family and friends, making her experience unique and memorable. I always look forward to the dance parties and love to hear if they perform the dance later that evening on their night out or at the wedding!
I think that the dance hen party that stands out most for me, is a surprise Disney party I taught which the brides sister had organised. During the break, the brides mother came up to me and said that she was amazed that the group (made up of solicitors and nurses) had regressed back to their childhood, dancing around like jungle animals and having so much fun. She congratulated me and was quite emotional after telling her little girl is all grown up. This is exactly why I love it so much!
What dance experience have you had?
I have a broad background of dance styles and teach Charleston, Latin, Commercial, Lyrical jazz and Street dance. I have danced professionally for 6years and have performed in many pantomimes, Cinderella and Snow White being my favourites! I have performed in shows such as F-Express, Funky Town and tribute dance groups like Abba. I also have experience as a Cabaret show dancer spoilt with the most dazzling costumes and have been lucky enough to work with celebrities and choreographers such as Strictly’s Len Goodman. I am also a qualified Personal Trainer and class fitness instructor. Currently, I teach Dance fitness, functional fitness, Kettlebells, Boxing Padwork and Supple strength.
Who are your dance inspirations?
I absolutely love Musical Theatre, everything from Oliver Twist to Mary Poppins, Gene Kelly in Singing in the rain, Cats. Cats was actually the first show I saw in London and I was completely overwhelmed by the whole experience, I will never forget that. There are dance films like Fame, Chorus Line and Dirty Dancing that I watch over and over. I am a fan of Classical Ballet as it is always so emotional and beautiful to watch and also love Commercial dance. I could easily lose a day watching the Choreography of Willdabeast Adams and Tricia Miranda.
