What are your top 3 favourite Cheerleading Company hen parties in Bath and Bristol?
What do you love about teaching hen parties in Bath and Bristol?
I’ve been teaching hen party dance classes for a while now and no two hen parties have been the same! I always love the enthusiasm of the hens and the way everyone gets stuck in and just has fun. It never seems to matter how well they know each other or what age or ability they are. My favourite hen party moment has to be the look of sheer amazement on the face of a disbelieving Bride when we recreated the Dirty Dancing lift - I wish I had all of the pictures!
What dance experience have you had?
I started dancing at the age of 3 and my background is in ballet, tap and modern. However as I love to try every style of dancing, I have also taught hip hop, jazz and Latin dance as well as acrobatics. I have been extremely lucky in my performing / teaching as it has taken me all over the country and the world including countries such as Cyprus and China. A particular highlight for me is having choreographed a dance for a Groom and his Ushers to perform on the wedding day as a surprise for the Bride – the whole thing was so much fun!
Who are your dance inpirations?
My dance inspiration is Michael Flatley as he has an unrivalled imagination, athleticism and charisma that he brings to all his shows. Behind the scenes his story is one of such inspiring hard work and determination, he also wasn’t afraid to break all the rules of traditional Irish Dancing by incorporating upper body movement and creating edgy rhythm patterns that I just love. His shows combine Irish stepdancing, American tap, Spanish flamenco and lots of other styles which are just addictive to watch!
